Most people who say they need “hosting” already have the website. A designer exported it. A tool generated it. A friend built five HTML pages. What they do not have is a public address that loads those files over HTTPS.
The only steps that matter
1. Put the site in a folder with index.html at the top. 2. Zip that folder. 3. Upload it to a host that gives you a live URL. 4. At your domain registrar, create the DNS records the host shows you. 5. Wait for HTTPS to issue.
That is website hosting. Everything else — SSH, Linux updates, php-fpm pools — is for a different job.
